Snare Drum Web/Web Strip Muffler Material

We recommend muffling the snare drum with a strip of 1" wide cotton canvas webbing that has another shorter strip of webbing applied in the head contact area, mounted off-center.

SEE THE MAINTENANCE MANUAL FOR MUFFLER MOUNTING INFORMATION. YOU WILL NEED TO USE SPRAY ADHESIVE TO COMPLETE THE MUFFLER, available at any hardware store. 

The webbing for snare drums is sold in 3 ft. lengths. This is enough to cross the shell off-center and allows for overhang on each side to tighten (just cut off any excess material for smaller diameter drums once the muffler strip is in place), plus enough to make the shorter strip to glue on the center of the longer strip.
